The British Basketball League recently hosted its adrenaline-pumping All-Star Game that showcased the sharpshooting skills of some of the most talented dunkers across the Men’s and Women’s Leagues.
The Games involved showdowns between North and South. Each squad had at least one player represented from each Men’s and Women’s clubs, based on their team’s location (North or South).
North teams: Caledonia Gladiators, Newcastle Eagles, Cheshire Phoenix, Manchester Giants, B. Braun Sheffield Sharks.
South teams: Leicester Riders, London Lions, Bristol Flyers, Surrey Scorchers, Plymouth City Patriots.
Fans were given the power to vote to decide who will play. After all the votes were tallied the League ranked players by position (frontcourt or guard) in each pool. The three highest-voted-for frontcourt players and the two highest-voted-for guards (from each pool) were selected as starters.
The athletes across all teams performed stunning game plays as well as the captivating Slam Dunk and Three-Point contests. Teddy Allen claimed the All-Star Game MVP award as he captained his South team to a dominant victory. Meanwhile, the South’s captain Temi Fagbenle proudly claimed MVP award for the Women’s All-Star Game due to her exceptional leadership and performance.
